Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Mefiss Textile's spacer mesh production, customization capabilities, and ordering process.
Do you charge for samples?
Samples under 2 meters are free of charge, but the customer bears the courier fee.
How can I confirm bulk quality without visiting the factory?
We provide production videos and photos; third-party inspection is accepted; inspection reports for each roll are available.
Do your products comply with local regulations and testing certifications?
We have completed multiple tests. Custom testing can be arranged if your required certification is not available.
Can you provide anti-mite & antibacterial treatment for the fabric?
Yes, we offer three solutions:
- Microwave machinery (Small Orders): Chemical-free, safe treatment. No changes to material strength, color fastness, or pH. Effective after 100 washes for polyester, nylon, cotton, and lyocell.
- Antibacterial additives (Large Orders): Swiss Sanitized™ or Silvadur™ additives with verified stable performance.
- Antibacterial yarn: Less chosen due to high MOQ requirements.
What is your product MOQ?
Stock grey fabric is available year-round for most patterns.
- Standard MOQ: 200kg per color (approx. 500m).
- Custom Pattern: 3000kg total, with 200kg MOQ per color.
What is the order lead time?
10 days with stock grey fabric; 25-30 days without stock grey fabric (subject to actual production conditions).
What if my order cannot meet the MOQ?
We offer alternative stock options first. For small-batch customization, we charge an additional fee for machine parts, adjustment, and yarn waste.
How do you handle after-sales quality issues?
We conduct 100% inspection per meter before shipment to minimize defects. We will compensate for any confirmed quality losses.
What services do you provide?
Custom sampling and bulk production per artwork; material customization, appearance design, product structure design, and packaging accessory design.
How is spacer mesh fabric packaged?
Rolled on 6cm diameter paper tubes.
- In-house use: 8S thick plastic bag.
- Wholesalers: Double 6S plastic bags or 6S plastic bag + PP woven bag.
Can spacer mesh fabric be vacuum compressed?
No. Most spacer mesh fabric contains monofilament with high resilience, making compression ineffective. Furthermore, compression causes permanent creases that damage the structure.
How to start cooperation with you?
Four simple steps:
- Inquiry: Send application scenario, requirements (thickness, GSM, tear strength, color fastness), quantity, and target lead time.
- Solution: We reply within 24 working hours with solutions, references, and estimated quotation.
- Sampling: Arrange fabric samples promptly as confirmed.
- Contract: Sign contract after confirming quality, price, and lead time. We provide production media and book shipping 10-15 days in advance.
How to customize a new spacer mesh fabric pattern?
Physical samples are required for yarn and machine analysis. Machine adjustment (parts, needles) and yarn preparation take 3-5 days. We produce ~30kg grey fabric for finishing and verification. Total development time is 10-15 days.
Why is the MOQ for new patterns around 3000-5000kg?
Two main reasons based on the warp knitting structure:
- Yarn Quantity: A standard AC1 mesh uses ~2500kg of yarn across multiple warp beams (e.g., 4 face, 4 base, 4 middle groups). At least 500 raw yarn cones are required.
- Machine Cost: Large warp knitting machines take ~5 days to adjust. Small orders lead to high yarn waste and disproportionate machine resetting costs.
