3D Mesh Stroller Pad for Bebebus

Bebebus, a premium Chinese baby brand founded in 2019, started with its first baby stroller. Product Manager Ms Li wanted to create a cost-effective gift for this stroller: a breathable 3D mesh stroller cooling pad. During sampling, she came to us to test several thick spacer mesh options, but the real challenge appeared later in sewing.

Step 1

Thick Mesh Selection

Ms Li tested several thick 3D mesh fabrics with us before confirming the right direction for the stroller pad. The material needed to feel breathable and supportive, while also matching the positioning of a premium baby stroller gift. The final fabric direction focused on comfort, airflow, and stable thickness.

Step 2

Sewing Problem Found

The original finished product supplier struggled with sewing the 8mm 3D mesh. The biggest issue was uneven edge binding, because thick spacer mesh stretches and rebounds differently from normal fabrics. For a baby product, this kind of visible sewing problem would directly affect product quality and brand image.

Step 3

Mefiss Hometex Production

Ms Li later asked whether we could provide not only fabric, but also finished pads. Through Mefiss Hometex, our finished goods factory, we used sewing equipment suitable for thick mesh and adjusted the process according to the fabric’s elasticity. The first finished sample already reached their standard.

Step 4

Stable Quality Control

Because we understood both the 8mm mesh structure and the finished product process, quality control became much smoother. Edge binding, pad shape, fabric tension, and appearance consistency were checked carefully during production, helping the stroller pad remain stable across repeated bulk orders.

Outcome

Results

This 3D mesh stroller pad series has exceeded 150,000 pieces in cumulative supply. Later, we also produced mesh baby beds for Bebebus and became their strategic supplier in 2022.
