They required a spacer mesh fabric that could match this airflow performance, while also solving surface unevenness, maintaining dimensional stability after washing, and meeting strict color fastness and defect control standards.

Step 1

Breathability Matching

We aligned the fabric development with the POE air fiber core’s high airflow performance. Instead of treating the fabric as a simple cover, we designed it as part of the ventilation system, ensuring that the spacer mesh would not block airflow and could fully support the breathable positioning of the mattress.


Step 2

Stability & Thickness Control


We selected BD1 series spacer mesh with around 300gsm weight and 210cm width to provide a balanced structure. Compared to softer materials, this fabric offered better thickness and surface stability, helping to compensate for the relatively uneven support feel of POE cores while preventing deformation or shrinkage after washing.


Step 3

Color Fastness Assurance


To meet the brand’s signature purple color requirement, we worked with dyeing mills certified under OEKO-TEX Standard 100. We carefully controlled dyeing parameters to ensure both washing fastness and light fastness, maintaining color consistency even under repeated use and exposure.


Step 4

Strict Quality Control

For large-size mattress applications, the client required no more than 2 defects per 50 meters. We implemented 100% inspection after dyeing, generated detailed inspection reports for each batch, and ensured every roll met the agreed defect standards before shipment, supporting their high-end product positioning.

Results

The BD1 mesh fabric achieved strong performance in breathability, durability, and dimensional stability, fully matching the POE mattress structure. We continue to serve as one of BLBM’s long-term designated fabric suppliers.
